The founder of The DJ Bay, Dystopic is a controllerist DJ and producer from the Tampa Bay region who has been spinning his signature Dark Trance & Industrial style since 1999. He takes full advantage of digital technology to produce live remixes, mash popular tunes with electronic music and provide a sense of dramatic flair to his productions. Dystopic is a Harmonic mixer, carefully selecting and mixing songs to bring perfect flow to a production, often times listeners are unable to tell a song has been mixed out until just the right moment. Embracing Controllerism, the digital equivalent of Turntablism, Dystopic joined the Midi Fight Club, an international organization of some of the most recognized digital DJs in the world.
Dystopic was a pioneer in the world of midi-based digital DJing, embracing the technology in its infancy and helping to develop the style into something rivalling the flair and creativity of turntablism. He's mixed in Los Angeles & Orange County in California and all over the state of Florida, including Tampa, Orlando, Daytona and Miami. Check him out in Detroit & Toronto this summer for Midi Fight Club Round 4. Spot him at Ybor City's Honeypot on the second Saturday of every month, spinning at the monthly Fetish Circuit event with hard-hitting industrial and EBM tracks. Starting in September, check him out at The Social's monthly Hangar event, on the third Friday of every month. Dystopic has covered major events such as FetCon 2010, Midi Fight Club Tampa & Miami, Godfatherz in Los Angeles, Spooky Empire's May-Hem convention and many more. He has mixed in line-ups with such notables as DJ Shiftee, DJ Craze and Ean Golden, along with Tampa Bay favorite, DJ Jet.
Dystopic also spins for www.clubzeroradio.com on Sunday nights at 7PM EST, broadcasting his live radio show featuring a blend of EBM, Industrial, Trance, House, and Chillout/Ambient music.
