Dystopic began as DJ Xealot in the late 90’s, a musician and DJ focused on melodic, softer trance music. Gradually, over the years, his style evolved, becoming darker, heavier and more industrial in tone, without losing touch completely with the trance roots. The result is a style described as dark trance and electro, a symbiosis of dark, stompy sound with melodic overtunes. It is designed to take you into another world, a release from the day-to-day dystopia of modern cubicle-centric life. Dystopic mixes around the Tampa Bay area and online for Radio Black Light, one of the largest Industrial shoutcast stations on the internet. In addition to frequently doing live remixes and mashups, Dystopic produces his own original tracks.
